The BD Somani International School is an International Baccalaureate and IGCSE certified school in Mumbai, India. It is located in the Cuffe Parade area in South Mumbai. It was the first IB school setup in South Mumbai.
It was opened in 2006 and runs the IGCSE board and the International Baccalaureate. The Principal of the school is Mr. Don Gardner. The school is in the same compound as the GD Somani Memorial School, the BD Somani Institute of Fashion, as well as Kindergarten and Nursery programmes.
The first batch of BD Somani International School completed their IB Diploma in May, 2008. Some students have gained entrance to universities in the USA and the United Kingdom.
Its students take part in CAS activities. Students volunteer to go to places like the Vatsalya Institution, The Spastic Society of India located in Colaba, and service in the neighboring Fisherman's Colony.
Its first batch graduated in May, 2008. It started its 9th and 10th grade classes in August 2008, making its student body much larger. The school was started by Mrs. Aradhana Somani who also runs the GD Somani School.
